The 1st season preview aired in January 2008 and it goes without saying that our lives have changed enormously, and in ways we couldn’t have imagined, since then. The emails we have (most of them so nice and complimentary) have been wonderful to receive, and we’re sorry we haven’t been able to reply to all of you individually. We will try to remedy that this year.

There’s an old saying in the acting world that you should never work with children or animals, and while our two cats get little screen time our boys got a fair amount in season 1, and hopefully even more in season 2. The best emails have often come from other families who also have young toddlers, and these people know from recent experiences the challenges of controlling toddlers in public.

Francois’ behavior as shown in Season 1, particularly, came in for some criticism and all we ask is that those who haven’t recently had young kids remember that no kid behaves beautifully 100% of the time. Understandably the footage that makes it into the final cut is always going to be the most entertaining!

Our favorite Francois quote while we were filming Season 2 was when he was asked by a friend soon after we’d all filmed a brunch scene together if he liked being on-camera. With a twinkle in his eye he looked at Murray and answered “Oh, yes! When the cameras roll, Francois rolls!” So watch out for much of Francois ‘rolling’ in season 2.

What can you expect in Season 2? Lots of drama, and hopefully lots of love of our children, each other and New York City! What we’ve seen so far of the second season we’re very happy with, and look forward to seeing the rest as it airs!
